Scott and CBE shooter Emily McCarthy has taken home 1st place at the third leg of the IBO Triple Crown, while fellow Scott and CBE shooter Cara Kelly finished in 3rd.
“Emily has always been a threat in the Women’s Pro division and she is no stranger to the podium,” said Scott and CBE Pro Staff Coordinator Darrin Christenberry. “Switching to the Scott Sigma has given her a whole new confidence on the archery range. Her energy and excitement about archery is contagious!”
The weather in Fryburg, Pennsylvania was perfect for shooters to compete at the IBO event. Throughout the weekend, Scott and CBE shooters Emily McCarthy and Cara Kelly were caught in a tight race with two other competitors. After ending day one of shooting in fourth place, McCarthy, shooting a Sigma and a Vertex, fought down to the last target and earned her 1st place title. Just behind her was Cara Kelly, who finished the weekend in 3rd place. Cara also finished in 2nd place for the overall IBO Triple Crown.
“I absolutely love my Scott Sigma,” said McCarthy. “My scores immediately improved after switching to one and I can always count on it being consistent and reliable. The only thing I regret is not switching to the Sigma sooner!”
Other notable shooters include Chris Hacker’s 3rd place finish in the Men’s Pro Division (shooting a Scott Sigma and CBE Vertex), Art Brown’s 3rd place finish in the Men’s Senior Pro Division, Garret Ayersman’s consistent strong performances in the Men’s Pro Division, and Dale Jones’ win of the overall Triple Crown in the Semi-Pro Male Division.
